Judi Boyd is, first and foremost, a wife and mother. Her husband is the pastor of The Pentecostals of Pearl, in Pearl, Mississippi. Peggy Clifford serves with her husband, Mel, in pastoral ministry at the Christian Life Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. They have one son, Mark. Cheryl Craft is a wife, mother, and missionary. She and her husband, George, live in Baden, Austria, with their daughter, Laura Ashley. Theresa DeMerchant felt called to Brazil at seventeen years of age. She and her husband, Bennie, are graduates of Apostolic Bible Institute, St. Paul, Minnesota, where she taught five years. They married in 1961 and have two daughters. After the death of their sixteen-year-old son to bone cancer, the Ladies’ Ministry helped her start a Bible school. She is the National Director of the Bible schools in Brazil with fifty-five schools in the nation. [422]

 

 
Marvelle Dees offers a repertoire of wisdom accumulated during sixty-three years as a minister’s wife. She helped establish churches in Houston, Texas, for the African-American, Spanish, and Cambodian congregations. She has traveled the world, authored three books, and is a prolific poet, composer, recording artist, and experienced women’s leader.   Vashty Delgado is a pastor’s wife and travels, speaking at ladies’ conferences and retreats. She is the proud mother of three children and has been happily married to her husband, Michael, for fifteen years. Nona Freeman was born in Arkansas and married E.L. Freeman in 1937. They went to Africa as missionaries in 1948 with their five children and worked there for forty-two years. After retirement in 1989, they crisscrossed America and ministered in many other countries, until his death at age eighty-two. Nona will celebrate being ninety on July 25, 2006, actively preaching the Gospel sixty-six years! She is one of the editors for Reflections Magazine and writes the column Dear Nona. [176, 299]

 

 
  Donna Geissler was born and raised on a farm in southwestern Idaho and graduated from Homedale High School in 1961. In September of that year, she enrolled in Conquerors Bible College in Portland, Oregon, where she met and married Darrell Geissler in September 1963. After seven years in Oregon, they were appointed as missionaries of the United Pentecostal Church International, headquartered in Hazelwood, Missouri. They currently live and minister in Montevideo, Uruguay. [32, 133] 

 
Michele Gilliland is, first and foremost, a wife and mother. She and her husband, Brad, a minister, have been married twenty-six years. They have four beautiful children, ranging in ages from sixteen to twenty-four. She has served, along with her husband, in many different capacities within the church. Rebecca L. Glasgow is a wife, mother, and grandmother of three. She is the Personnel Coordinator in the UC Davis Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science. Joy Haney a wife, mother, grandmother, world-wide speaker, author of fifty books, and recipient of a Bachelor of Ministry degree, served as pastor’s wife at Christian Life Center in Stockton, California, for thirty years. While there, she aired Diamonds for Dusty Roads program on KYCC radio network. She is now serving as First Lady of the United Pentecostal Church International where her husband, Reverend Kenneth Haney, serves as General Superintendent. Kim Haney is the mother of five beautiful children: Mychail (almost thirteen), Kailah, eight years old, Joshua, seven years old, Giahna, five years old, and Aunalee, two years old. She is the wife of Rev. Nathaniel Haney, who pastors Christian Life Center in Stockton, California. They have been married fifteen years. She is currently the Director of Women’s Ministries at CLC.   Olive Haney was born in Japan to missionary parents Frank and May Gray. She married Clyde J. Haney, and they raised a family of four, pastored three churches, established Christian Life College, and completed thirteen building projects. Olive was gifted with the pen and wrote many poems, articles, and authored the books Man of the Hills—Served in the Valley and Tips for the Trip. Ruth Harvey (formerly Rieder) is the wife of Rev. Steven Harvey and mother of two daughters, Angelica and Miriam. Currently residing in Portland, Oregon, Ruth is also the national director of Daughters of Zion, an international speaker, and a recording artist. She is the author of several best-selling books, including the well-loved book, Power Before the Throne.   Yvette S. Hawtin is married to Philip C.   Myra Hogue has been married for almost thirty years and has three beautiful sons, two gorgeous daughters-in-law, and three delightful granddaughters.   Laura Hopewell has been a single parent since 1987; her children are now 24, 25, and 27. Laura is the owner of www.apostolic-singles.com.   Judy Hudson is a NLBC teacher-counselor and national teacher.   Nancy Hunt is Acting Librarian at Christian Life College in Stockton, California. She is also the Missions Secretary for Christian Life Center.   Dot Dungan Ikerd is not only one of the contributors, but is, also, one of the editors. She is a recently-retired grandmother who loves spending time with her family. She has worn the many hats of editor, women’s leadership instructor, women’s cell-group instructor, Sunday school teacher for twenty-five years, Angel Tree coordinator (Christmas gifts for children of single adults), coordinator of the first U. Helen Isbell was born the sixth of seven daughters to Merl and Crystal Savage and enjoyed a loving and strong-bonded family. She received the Holy Ghost in 1958. Helen has written and directed Christmas and Easter dramas for eighteen years. She has served as Ladies’ Auxiliary President in her local church in Modesto, California. For the past forty-five years, Helen has taught Sunday school, been involved with Bus Ministry, Children’s church, Bible studies, and donated personal time on Saturdays; Church is her life. Carol Johnson is very blessed to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. Carol and her husband, Doug, have been married for forty years. They are the parents of a daughter, Darla. Sharon Keyes was born and raised in this apostolic truth. In 1968, she attended Western Apostolic Bible College and there met the love of her life, Randy G. Keyes.   Judy Larson is a life-long member of Christian Life Center in Stockton, California.   Deniece Sargeant McCune is an associate pastor’s wife at Christian Life Center in Stockton, California. CLC sends her husband, Rev. Jonathan McCune, as a short-term missionary to teach in a Bible college in India. They will take the next trip together later in the year. She is a third-generation Pentecostal.   Nell Maxwell and her husband, Pastor Wayne Maxwell, established the Church of Pentecost in San Angelo, Texas, in 1970. They continue to pastor and minister there. They are parents of two sons, a foster daughter, and have six grandchildren. Nell is retired from GTE, speaks for various groups, and has served in all church departments. Vickie Mejorado and her husband, Alex, have been married for thirty-one years. They have two adult children, and one granddaughter. Vickie has a burden for prayer and is currently a co-leader in a Ladies’ Prayer Group in Stockton, California.   Kaitlyn Nimmo is a ten-year-old young lady that loves God very much. She enjoys the piano, acting in school dramas, art, and singing. She has attended Stockton Christian School in Stockton, California for six years, and has been in school dramas for three years. Kaitlyn plays Suzuki classical music. She wrote her first book, Ginger and Angel, when she was eight years old. Her thirteen-year-old sister, Megan, is very precious to her.  [398]

 

 
  Tami Nimmo is a wife, mother, and prayer warrior. She is privileged to have a wonderful husband, who has enabled her to be a stay-at-home mother for thirteen years. Her daughters, Megan, thirteen, and Kaitlyn, ten, are her constant joy. Tami recently started working at their school in the first grade. It is a ministry where she can teach young children about Jesus. She also works in Women’s Ministry and feels God has richly blessed her life. [72]

 

 
  Judy Northcutt is the wife of Robert, a retired firefighter, the mother of a daughter and son, a mother-in-law, and is “Granna” to five grandsons. Church, family, and home are her priorities. Judy substitutes in the school system, is involved with the activities of her five grandsons, and leads a Women of Worth prayer group on Wednesday mornings. [408]

 

 
  Gwyn Oakes is Ladies’ Ministries President of the United Pentecostal Church International. Married to a minister for almost fifty years, she has four children and three grandchildren. She is a speaker, a free-lance writer, an artist, and a certified juvenile counselor.   Susan Sullivan and her husband, Dennis, are the parents of two sons, Timothy and Steven, and two daughters-in-law, Audrey and Marenda, whom they claim as their own.
